As anyone with any pretences to sovereignty or independence will tell you, the World Economic Forum (WEF) is evil incarnate; a globalist cabal with devilish designs for supranational supremacy.
Indeed, WEFi pretty much personifies those anti-jew/anti-banker cartoons from a century ago, complete with all the demon eyes,ii if with less vishnu-ness.iii But it’s a similar grassroots narrative with a lightly modern twist: internationalist overlords wants us to be poor, uneducated, dopamine-addled, nutritionally poisoned, genetically-weakened, and living in 15-min cities overrun with low-trust retard blood, undermining everything the West once cherished about its formerly great civilisation.iv
But, now bear with me, what if WEF is… right? What if there is indeed a method to their madness?

This is a crazy bananas position to take, I’ll be the first to admit, but simply out of respect for our self-evidently mighty adversaries, let’s take this opportunity to steelman these most worthy opponents to our most humble bloodlines. WEF’s reasoning and conclusions just might surprise you, especially if we take the long view in considering the medium-term future of our fair blue planet.
No, I don’t mean anthropogenic climate change, ye of secular (WEF) faiths, but rather the distinct probability of a geomagnetic pole excursionv in the next few decades(?!) and all the pain and suffering that will accompany its aftermath. If this makes WEF (or yours truly) “doomers” then so be it! Discretion is the better part of valour and all that…
With this in mind(?!) our future may indeed hold broad scarcity of many essential material goods, the loss of many taken-for-granted services (including advanced healthcare), and the disfunction of many infrastructural resources. All this while the poor and many are literally decimated, bunkers protect the wealthy and the few, automated farming/mining/manufacturing providing continuity of food and goods to those with political connections, and space-faring colonies expand our dominion and bide time before their geniusvi return.
In which case, priming our bloated stocks with ideas of the “sharing economy,” that we’ll “own nothing and be happy,” and all the rest of the functionally marxist cultural impositions that have been injected directly into our western veins for the past 20-90 years (depending on how you count) actually start to make a kind of sick sense. I mean, if we’re indeed headed towards a planet stricken by flooding, disease, famines, and wicked storms, maybe the fewer of us grasping for unnecessary material possessions now, and even having fewer children now, the less stress our supply chains will face in the future? Seriously, what the fuck are 8 billion of us even doing today anyways? And how many of those billions are actually net-producing over their lifetimes? 10%? 2%? So perhaps a little “degrowth” is actually pre-emptive triage for our endangered global consciousness, a strategic levelling of material prosperity via manmade “polycrisis” in advance of the real thing?vii
This of course all assumes a lot of foresight, a lot of centralized power,viii and a lot of intentionality (when in fact a lot of historically normal cyclicality may be a more parsimonious explanation), but it’s certainly fun to imagine! Well, “fun” if you think horror movies are fun… which I personally don’t… but that’s maybe just because no fictional film could even be quite as gruesome as that which apparently springs evergreen from my mind on any given Sunday.
